Guidelines to create a Character Certificate:

  1. Name and details of the Applicant:
    At the top of the certificate, the name of the person who applied for the certificate should appear. There should be the full name of the person along with his address, contact information, and other relevant details that are necessary i.e. nationality, marital status, etc.
  2. Name of the issuance Authority:
    Below that, there should be the details of the person, entity, or government department that is issuing the character certificate. It can be the local police department, any other law enforcement agency, your school, or even a previous employer who is certifying that you have a good character.
  3. Declaration of good character of the Applicant:
    In the middle of this document, there should be a precise statement from the person or department that is issuing the document that they are confirming that the applicant has a good character as per their knowledge and hasn’t been involved in any criminal activity in the past.
  4. Date and reason for creating the Certificate:
    Then there should be a date on which the character certificate is issued and signed and then the person creating the certificate can also state the purpose of creating this document as described by the applicant i.e. for immigration purposes, employment, or tenancy purposes.
  5. Signature of Authorized Person:
