The employment certificate is the most important part of the employment relationship. It is the certificate, which is given to each and every employee of the company when the period of his employment in the company ends because of any reason such as shifting of the employee from the city or the termination of the employee from the company etc. Awarding this certificate to employees is the biggest responsibility of the company as this certificate becomes the basis for the future success of the employee in his professional life. You can write it on paper or can type it in a computer.

Employment Certificate Format Guidelines

However, giving the certificate in the typed form is more practical. An employment certificate should include the following:

1. All the details and descriptions of the curriculum of the employee in the company as well as all those positions on which he had been working so far. Mention all activities that he/she was performing while working in the company. Try to mention those qualities of the employee that impressed you a lot.
2. Apart from activities, another important point to include is the capabilities of the employee. This can state what percentage of the customers and the management of the company was satisfied by the employee. This will help others in assessing the behavior of the employee.
3. Another important part of the certificate is the date of joining and the date on which the employee left.
4. An assessment of the behavior and manners of the departing employee should also be the important part of the certificate. You shall add it in the certification too.

The employee certification should be able to reflect the real performance and behavior of the employee in the company. The causes, on which the employee is being terminated should not be mentioned in the certificate.

Using Employment Certificate Templates

If you want to give the reason for the termination of the employee, then you can use the termination letter for this purpose.  A misleading certification for the employee should not be created. This can be very dangerous for those companies where he will go to work in future and also for the company itself which has issued this certificate to him.

An employment certificate should contain the information about the employee; the information includes the first and last name of the employee, the date of birth of the employee and the place of birth of the employee. This certification must also possess the name of the company in the bold letters on the top of the certification and the logo of the company must also be mentioned so that the authenticity of the certificate can be proved.

At the end, the certificate must be signed by the manager or the top authority of the company. Apart from above mentioned points, you can also give the information in the certificate about the achievements of the employee. If he has got any award while working in your company, you should highlight it in the certificate.
