A project is something which is achieved when group of people work together for it. The successful completion of the project is the priority of everyone working in the project. The project can be anything where multiple people are putting their efforts such as construction of a building. Doing the work in the assigned time space is not enough for the project manager but it is also very important for them to have a look on the day to day activities which are performed to accomplish a task. In such case, a project to do list prepared. To do list created for the project helps the person in keeping track of all those activities which are needed to initiate, plan and implement a project. It is also required when a project is required to be completed in a limited time period.
All the activities involved in the project are written in to do list. This kind of to do list is also called checklist. This enables the person to keep track of the activities which have been completed and which are yet to be completed. A project to do list includes the activities such as conducting the meetings known as review meetings, providing training to the employees regarding the project, managing the updates, monitoring staff performance etc. These all activities are so important to be remembered. If a person, who has been given the responsibility to manage the project activities, forgets any task, then the quality of the project would be compromised.
A project to do list enables the person to know about the tasks or activities which must be done first and then it also ensures that all the prioritized activities have been performed first. Doing a harder task first in the project makes the person feels like he has accomplished something.
To do list are very important when a project team is given very limited time to complete the task. The budget is also limited which they can use to accomplish the task. In such a situation, project managers divide the project into sub tasks and assign these sub tasks to multiple people. In this way, a project is completed by multiple people working simultaneously. A to do list helps the manager in assigning the task to the people and he can keep track of all the multiple tasks very easily using to do list.
If a project has got some changes in it, then such changes are also required to be monitored as sometimes, several tasks are interrelated to each other and changing one task and not updating it can cause problem to the whole project. A to do list manages all the tasks and also the updates related to each task.
A person can easily draft all the risks which a project may face and can easily find the solution of those risks. He can also make the communication plan easily. Budget analysis can also be obtained with the help of this to do list.
A project to do list is not very comprehensive and detailed. The most important aspect of a project is that there are so many things to be done in the beginning of the project. If they are done correctly, then trust of the customer and the confidence of the employee can be earned.
