No one likes or prefers to work all day long seven days a week and the same rule applies to the teachers and professors in the school and colleges. If there is no proper working schedule in the school, the teachers will feel it’s hard and complicated to keep track of all of their classes and lectures where they will also have trouble taking personal days off of work. On the other hand, this chaos will also result badly for the students because the teachers won’t be prepared for all of their classes and students will have to wait for days and even weeks before getting any tests and reports back from the teachers. In order to control the situation and making sure that the teachers understand how many classes they have in the next week and which classes they have, Teacher Schedule is created.

Key Elements to include in a Teacher Schedule:

Name of the school or institute
Names of all teachers and professors that teach in the school
Date from which the schedule will be implemented in the school
Names of all the subjects and classes that run in the school
All the dates of the month that have classes (excluding weekends)
Schedule of each class for each day of the week
Duration of each class
Signature of administration or principal of the school

Guidelines for Teacher Schedule Format:

Where most of the schedules just get to work right from the start of the day, what you need to do is to leave a short period of time empty at the beginning of the day so the teachers can prepare for the day ahead. Just leave 10-15 minutes of window open in the morning and let the teachers decide what they want to do with that time. They can either get coffee or make their own schedule for the day.
Dedicate the first row of the time table or schedule for the days of the week. Starting with Monday, include the days and end it with Friday or even Saturday if that’s a work day at your school. In the same manner, include class duration in the first column on the left side. Talk to the teachers and see if each class should have equal duration or some require extra time.
Before entering data in the schedule on the start of each day, make sure to ask who is on leave because you will also need to arrange for the substitute teacher for that class. See which teacher is available and write his or her name in front of the class.
What most people forget is that you need to give a little time between each class because it will be needed by the teachers and students going from one room to another. This means when you prepare the schedule, give 4-5 minutes of extra time to each class.
